Miami
Miami, the Magic City, is located in south east Florida, between
the Florida Everglades and the Atlantic Ocean. It is a melting pot
of cultures, and a many of its population came from Latin America
and the Caribbean. Served by Miami International Airport which is
9 miles north west of the city. The Port of Miami is the largest
cruise ship port in the world. The city has excellent public transport
from Metrobus and Metrorail plus Tri-Rail serving the suburbs. With
its subtropical climate (very warm, hot summers) and proximity to
the Gulf Stream - means it has year round temperate weather.

For nightlife that goes on until morning, then Downtown Miami is
the place to go and is hot on the heels of South Beach. Although
downtown is primarily the business district, there are several clubs
and bars including the legendary Sunrise Sessions at Club Space.
If eating out is your thing, then Miami is a distinct experience.
Influences range from Latin, Asian, Italian, Brazilian and seafood,
from apprentice restaurants and old hands - the choice is eclectic.

For style and quality then Bal Harbour Shops (9700 Collins Avenue,
Miami Beach) has lots of high quality names, plus lots of eateries
to recharge your battery! The Design District (NE 40th St) has a
mixture of design outlets, antique shops, clubs and restaurants
which covers just a few blocks. Lincoln Road (Miami Beach - off
Collins Ave at 17th St) is where the fashionable shop in exclusive
stores and top art galleries. If markets are your thing, then Espanola
Way Flea Market is a must (Fri, Sat & Sun) along with Coconut
Grove Farmers Market on a Saturday (Grand Ave and Margaret St).
