Costa del Sol
The Costa del Sol, just one of the coastal parts of the autonomous
region of Andalusia and is one of Spain's most popular places to
visit. It is based 150 kms either side of Malaga (mostly to the
west) on the south of the Iberian Peninsula. Malaga is a fiercely
proud modern city which boasts an ancient tapestry from its past,
Phoenicians, Greeks, Romans and Moors.
The Costa del Sol has EU Blue Flags for lots of its beaches and
has more than enough "beach" for its visitors. Ideal
for the golfer with many courses available along with countless
other sports and activities from Tennis with a coach to windsurfing
in Tarifa. And dolphin watching, organised from one of the many
ports to skiing in the Sierra Nevada - yes real snow, and just
a couple of hours drive to the north side of the mountains.
Nightlife - this place has it all... Marbella's rich click, discos,
tapas bars, casinos, restaurants of virtually any variety, bars,
pubs (Spanish, English and Irish) clubs, theatres and cinemas.
So much to do... you just have to try it.
